Thanks to its considerable mobility and high lifting capacity, the equipment has become very popular and is therefore widely used on construction sites as well as in other industrial sectors. If you want to carry out work using this machine correctly and, in particular, safely and optimally, it is important to install the HDS correctly.

Types of HDS cranes used on construction sites
There are two types of this equipment with no breakdown by crane deployment, and these are:
- HDS mini crane,
- HDS crane.
HDS mini crane - not often seen on construction sites. It is mainly used to install oversized glass or glazing. Its use is based on the safe manoeuvring and installation of glass that can weigh up to 3 tonnes. The design of the HDS mini crane is much smaller than its standard version, but it is easy to use. Instead of a classic hook in this type of HDS crane, suction pads are used to add considerable safety guarantees during the glass manoeuvre.
HDS crane - This is the standard model used to transport essential building materials such as pallets, concrete blocks, pallets, bricks, etc. It also gives the possibility to deliver various items by means of a mounted crane to higher floors in the building. It is also important that this machine must carry out the work on a stable surface. If the surface is not stable, in this case shims will need to be used to give stability at the point of support. This will enable the HDS crane to work safely. In addition, a great advantage of the presented machine is its mobility and the possibility of working on a small range of surfaces.
Every HDS crane is subject to technical supervision. An exception to this is cranes lifting up to 250 kg.
Training

We provide courses for people interested in becoming operators or maintainers of UDT equipment. Our training courses include:
- forklift truck course,
- crane course,
- telescopic loader course,
- HDS crane course,
- course on mobile platforms (including aerial work platforms and scissor lifts).
The training courses are conducted by specialised instructors who will prepare each participant to pass the state examination. Each of our instructors is qualified to conduct courses on UDT machines, and all training is conducted in accordance with the regulations of the Office of Technical Inspection.
Persons carrying out work with an HDS crane must hold the relevant UDT licence.
Questions and answers
What are the different types of HDS cranes without dividing by crane deployment?
There are mainly two types of equipment in this case. These include the HDS (regular) crane and the HDS mini crane, which is a much smaller version of the standard crane.
Is every type of HDS crane subject to technical supervision?
No. There are HDS cranes that are not subject to technical supervision, and they are characterised by the fact that they lift various items up to 250 kg and only this type of machine is an exemption from supervision.
